Ordo Corallimorpharia

Corallimorphs may be solitary, but also live in close association, occasionally crowding together so closely that the individual polyps are difficult to distinguish. They resemble some hard corals, but they lack a hard skeleton. They also resemble anemones, but the tentacles are not arranged in circles. They radiate out from the center of the oral disc, like spokes and form concentric circles, which progressively increase in diameter from the center.

The following taxa of this order occur in the region:

Discosoma sanctithomae (Warty corallimorph)
Pseudocorynactis caribbeorum (Orange ball corallimorph)
Ricordea florida (Florida corallimorph)
