Classis Cephalopoda

A class of marine mollusks with a well-developed head, large brain, and eyes resembling those of vertebrates in structure. The head is surrounded by prehensile tentacles and the animals can move very rapidly by jet propulsion, squirting water out of the large mantle cavity that communicates with the exterior by a siphon or funnel.
