Description:
The carapace is brownish-gray and covered with short hairs. The tips of the claws are colored bright red. The crab covers itself with a pieces of living sponges, tunicates or anemones.
Size: carapace up to 8 cm.

Habitat:
It inhabits the reefs and the sandy flats, hides during the day, but can be found at night foraging.
Depth: ranges from 3 m down to 25 m.

Distribution:
Occasional all over the Caribbean.
