Description:
Body long and cylindrical with two dorsal fins. Dark upper body, pale underside. A yellow or white stripe runs from the eye to the base of the tail. No markings on the snout. Mouth located nears the tip of the snout.
Size up to 5 cm.

Habitat:
Prefers medium deep reefs, from 7 to 27 m. Always lives in association with tube sponges or massive sponges.

Distribution:
Common to occasional South Florida, Bahamas and Caribbean.
