Description:
Corallimorph with spherical, knob-like tentacles covering the oral disc and elongated tentacles around the edge. Tentacles in a radial arrangement. Disc of solitary polyps up to 5 cm.
Color:
Usually overall green, sometimes with shades of yellow, orange, brown or blue.
Habitat:
Solitary, or in small groups, occasionally forming mat-like groups so that individual polyps are difficult to distinguished (R. florida mat-like colony).
Distribution:
Occasional Florida, Bahamas and Caribbean.
