Spotted sea hare

Description:
Head with two tentacles. The head is connected with the body by a kind of neck. Two large flaps long the sides of the body. Color of the body and the shell is brown with light spots, outlined in black.
Size: up to 15 cm.
Habitat:
This sea hare is a vegetarian and can be found under and on rocks covered with algae.
Depth: ranges from 0 m down to 30 m.
Distribution:
Common all over the Caribbean.
Remarks:
Also in the region: White-spotted sea hare, Aplysia parvula, which has irregular skin flaps, is pale brown and has white spots. Size up to 3 cm.
In most countries it is illegal to bring back these shells from holidays.
