Description:
Spherical to slightly ovoid; ball-shaped, up to 4 cm in diameter. The surface is covered with low, flat tubercles, which are up to 3 mm in diameter. A few species have small apical oscules, but most species have no obvious exhalent openings. The consistency is tough, slightly compressible.
Color:
Pale yellow to dull red.
Habitat:
Common on turtle grass and in the reef environment in crevices.
Distribution:
Tropical Atlantic America.
