Description:
Last walking legs have the last segment enlarged to paddles, which are used for swimming. At two-thirds of the carapace is one spine on both sides.
On the rear of the carapace are two large dark spots ringed with white.
The claws are long and slender.
Size: carapace up to 8 cm wide.

Habitat:
This crab inhabits reefs and seagrass beds.
Depth: ranges from 5 m down to 30 m.

Distribution:
Occasional all throughout the Caribbean.
