Description:
Hemispherical heads on fringing reef, but also as small round pebbles (up to 2.5 cm in diameter) in silty water (Turtle grass beds) or as small, flat discs in rocky shallows. Cups angular rather than round; deep and narrow, with 30-40 septa per cup.
Color:
Gray or tan heads with black dot like cups.
Habitat:
Common in shallow water, scattered down to a depth of 25 m.
Distribution:
Common Florida, Bahamas and Caribbean.
