Black and white crinoid

Description:
This feather star has forty black arms. The side branches have white tips.
Size: the arms can reach up to 25 cm.
Habitat:
It lives on the reefs. Unlike Davidaster rubiginosa, the Yellow feather star, it attaches itself on the top of the reef, or on sponges, or on sea whips, where it is completely visible.
Depth: ranges from 10 m. down to 40 m.
Distribution:
Common all over the Caribbean, though more common in the southern Caribbean than the northern Caribbean.
