Lister purse-oyster

Description:
This bivalve shell is attached to the substrate. The shells are yellowish. The opening is irregular. Usually lives in clusters.
Size: up to 7 cm.
Habitat:
Attaches to rocks, wrecks and docks, but also sometimes on reefs. Anywhere where sedimentation occurs.
Depth: ranges from 3 m down to 20 m.
Distribution:
Occasional all over the Caribbean.
Remarks:
In most countries it is illegal to bring back these shells from holidays.
