Description:
Plants with small blades with serrated edges, which grow upward from long, cylindrical, attached runners. Blades often fork and are occasionally twisted. Blades up to 3 cm in length. Color in shades of light to medium mint green, often with bluish tints.
The plants are coenocytic, i.e., the plant is multinucleate and nonseptate.
Habitat:
Grow in shallow rocky substrates, usually with some sand covering in sheltered environments. Down to 5 m.
Distribution:
Occasional South Florida, Bahamas and Caribbean.
