Description:
This beautiful little crab is easily recognized by its triangular body and long, slender, spine like rostrum. The walking legs and claws are very long and slender.
The color of the carapace is whitish or light tan to golden brown with fine dark lines. The claws may have violet tips.
Size: carapace up to 5 cm wide.
Habitat:
The crab moves about gracefully on algae-covered rocks and around reefs.
Depth: ranges from 3 m down to 40 m.
Distribution:
Abundant all throughout the Caribbean.
