Description:
Colonies with finger-like widely spaced branches that often divide near the tips.

Color:
Bluish to pale lilac and purple.

Corallites:
Calices narrowly spaced with a poorly developed wall. Corallites with 12 septa, less than 1.4 mm in diameter. Columella trabecular and discontinuous.

Habitat:
A shallow water species, most common on back reefs.

Distribution:
Common to abundant South Florida, Bahamas and Caribbean.
