Description:
Colonies with finger-like, tightly compacted branches.
Color:
Ranges from beige to yellow-brown.
Corallites:
Calices narrowly spaced with a poorly developed wall. Corallites with 12 septa, 1.6 to 1.8 mm in diameter. Columella trabecular and discontinuous.
Habitat:
A shallow water species, most common on back reefs. Polyps often extend during the day.
Distribution:
Common to abundant South Florida, Bahamas and Caribbean.
