Description:
Colonies large, branching dichotomously, more or less in one plane, up to 1 m in height. End branches long and slender, 2-3 mm in diameter. Apertures small, 0.5-1.0 mm in diameter, ellipsoid, elongated in the axis of the branch, and arranged in poorly defined vertical rows on the branch.
Color:
Purple.
Habitat:
A reef dweller, from 3-30 m.
Distribution:
Florida and Caribbean.
