Description:
This squid is somewhat cigar shaped. Along the entire side runs a fin, which is pointed at the end. The arms of this squid are shorter than the body. The coloring is, as with all cephalopods, highly variable. Usually a reddish cast over a bluish body
Size: 10 - 20 cm, including arms.

Habitat:
Inhabits the shallower waters, usually nearer to the surface than the reefs.
Depth: ranges from 0 m down to 20 m.

Distribution:
Common all over the Caribbean.
