Description:
Spreading, massive, thick, with lobes up to 6 cm high and chimney-like oscules up to 1 cm in diameter (P. zeai-close up). Surface smooth, with small pores, approximately 1 mm in diameter, irregularly distributed. Infected with the Maroon sponge zoanthid (Parazoanthus puertoricense ). Crumbly, soft in consistency.

Color:
Surface purple brown, choanosome yellowish.

Habitat:
Found in coral reefs between 13 and 35 meter.

Distribution:
Rare Florida and Bahamas; occasional Caribbean.
