Description:
This species forms thin, hard, highly calcified encrustations, overgrowing the substrate. It takes on the surface texture of the substrate. Shades of pinkish gray in color.

Habitat:
Most common on subtidal to intertidal reef crest, where it can cover huge areas.

Distribution:
Abundant to common Florida, Bahamas and Caribbean.
